The updated amounts for settlement funds in 2024 are based on the applicant’s family size, including the applicant, their spouse or common-law partner, and their dependent children. Even if family members are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, or if they are not accompanying the applicant to Canada, they must still be included in the calculation.
